Dad Rocks

Dad Rocks FrontThis is another gift idea that was made at school, but turned out so well and was so appreciated, that I had to include it here.

A weighty gift that’s clear about just how much Dad Rocks!

You will need:

  • A large, fairly flat, smooth rock
  • Tissue paper (whatever colour/s you prefer) cut or torn into small pieces
  • White glue
  • Small brush
  • White acrylic paint
  • Permanent marker

Instructions:

Make sure your rock is clean (wash and dry if required).  Using your brush, cover the rock in glue and gradually add your tissue paper pieces in a patchwork pattern until the rock is completely covered.  Allow to dry.  Rinse the brush and using white acrylic paint write on “My Dad Rocks”.  Using the permanent pen write a personal message or a simple I Love You from xxx on the bottom.
